Introduction

All of the elements of this research, and the media they have been recorded on, have been labeled DOW FAMILY HISTORY.  In reality, the name DOW applies to only one family line of this research (family history researchers tend to put too much emphasis on their father's male family line).  Many other families are represented, both in my family and the family of my wife. Although many other family surnames are included in this research, my research has mainly centered on the surnames listed below.
